1. What This Website Is

This is a privately operated reference resource with no government affiliation. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files documents for a visitor.

Official Saline County sources identified in the content include the sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and Illinois Sex Offender Registry. The Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, applies to public bodies and does not convert this private resource into a records custodian. The Uniform Conviction Information Act, 20 ILCS 2635, governs public conviction information released through the Illinois state repository. Outside providers operate any search tools under their own terms.

This applies with special force to sex offender registry information: Illinois law restricts how Illinois Sex Offender Registry data may be used, and misusing registry information against a listed person can carry criminal penalties. Registry data exists for public safety awareness, not for vigilante action, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
